Kourampiedes Apo Hioni – Santas Snow Candy

The very first Greek Christmas movie for the entire family on Giannis Tsimitselis debut as director.

In a beautiful mountain village in Greece (Tsepelovo), in the 90s, a peculiar old confectioner, Mr. Panagiotis (Alexandros Antonopoulos), is forced by circumstances to hide 8-year-old Fani (Ariadni Velli) from everyone in his house.

Soon his two grandchildren (Spyros Dougias, Stella Mourikis) and a friend of theirs (Stratis Zaharis) discover him and that’s how the gang of five is formed! The four 8-year-olds and Mr. Panagiotis will live a wonderful adventure between reality and fairy tale.
But first, they have to fool everyone.

The confectioner’s daughter (Katerina Geronikolou), the village doctor (Meletis Ilias) and generally all the members of the small society (Mihalis Reppas, Nicoleta Vlavianou, Mary Stavrakeli, Panos Stathakopoulos). The story that started from a (Christmas!) idea of Yiannis Tsimitselis is signed by Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas, who are returning to film scripts after 15 years together with Agni and Haris Chiotis.

This is how they all “mix” together in a family comedy full of… powdered sugar, childhood dreams and tender melodies by Themis Karamouratides, who edits the soundtrack and with the wonderful voice of Eleonora Zouganelis on the soundtrack.
